    Dr. Choi joined Retina Specialists in 2009 and his practice focuses on the Diseases and Surgery of the Retina, Vitreous, and Macula. He has a special interest in Complex Retinal Detachments and in the surgical management of Diabetic Retinopathy. When he isn’t helping cure blindness in our community, Dr. Choi enjoys spending time with his wife and family of 3 children.

    Born in England, raised in Canada, trained in the United States, and now a proud Texan, Dr. Hemang K. Pandya is the newest addition to the Retina Specialists team!

    Born in England, raised in Canada, trained in the United States, and now a proud Texan, Dr. Hemang K. Pandya is the newest addition to the Retina Specialists team!

    Dr. Pandya earned his M.D., with Alpha Omega Alpha honors, from the Chicago Medical School. Dr. Pandya completed his Ophthalmology training, under the guidance of Vitreoretinal Leaders, Dr. Gary Abrams and Dr. Asheesh Tewari, at the renowned Kresge Eye Institute. Thereafter, Dr. Pandya completed a 2-year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at the prestigious Dean McGee Eye Institute.

    During this extensive training, he focused on performing the latest surgical techniques for Retinal Detachment repair, Macular Puckers, Macular Holes, Diabetic Tractional Retinal Detachments, and a variety of other complex Vitreoretinal disorders. Clinically, Dr. Pandya specializes in the treatment of Diabetic Retinopathy, Retinal Vein Occlusions, and Age-Related Macular Degeneration (Watch Dr. Pandya’s Live TV Interview!)

    Dr. Pandya is excited to be with Retina Specialists and strives to provide respectful and compassionate care for all of his patients.

    A native of Tennessee, Dr. Robert Torti started his journey within the field of Electrical Engineering, graduating with honors from Memphis University. After receiving vigorous training at the University of Texas at Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dr. Torti began his Vitreoretinal practice in 1992.

    A native of Tennessee, Dr. Robert Torti started his journey within the field of Electrical Engineering, graduating with honors from Memphis University. After receiving vigorous training at the University of Texas at Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dr. Torti began his Vitreoretinal practice in 1992.

    With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Torti continues to be a leader within the Vitreoretinal community of the Dallas Area and North Texas.

    Born and bred in Southern California, Dr. Santosh Patel has become an integral member of the Dallas-Area Vitreoretinal community. After receiving world-class education on the East Coast, Dr. Patel returned to California, under the guidance of Dr. Baruch Kupperman, to complete his Vitreoretinal training. He joined Retina Specialists in 2006 and is Board Certified with the American Academy of Ophthalmology. In addition he is a member of the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
